Hubbards Hill Bridge

The much-delayed work on Hubbards Hill Bridge is due to begin tomorrow (Monday 9 October). Weald Parish Council has received the following updated communication from National Highways. As always, there is a chance there may be further delays or changes to the programme. If the Parish Council receives further information it will be passed on.

From National Highways:

I’m emailing with a further update on the planned start date for our repair work on Hubbards Hill bridge.

We’ll be starting work to the bridge Monday 9 October, and from this date Hubbards Hill will be fully closed. The work will take place during the day to keep noise impact to a minimum, however due to the nature of the work we’re unable to lift the closure during the nights.

There will be weeks where we’ll open the road with a single lane running and 24-hour temporary traffic lights. We’re unable to confirm the weeks we’ll be able to do so until we’ve started the work, so please keep an eye on this webpage which we’ll keep updated. Just look for ‘A21 Hubbards Hill’ – nationalhighways.co.uk/se-maintenance

I’ll also email once we can confirm these single lane running dates, however if you’d like to be removed from these updates then please let me know. If you have any queries please contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0300 123 5000 or info@nationalhighways.co.uk who will direct your enquiry to the most appropriate person.

Kind regards
